"Good overall condition for an easy rolling restoration of an early representative of the modern large Volkswagen."

Description

The car was originally sold in Norrland in June 1976, and the new owner drove it for over 19,000 miles before it was purchased by a man residing in Nättraby, Blekinge, from the estate in 2003. He had the ambition to restore the car but eventually lost interest. The current owner, a friend of his, took custody of the vehicle three years later, in 2006. They bought two new front fenders, had the car repainted in its original color, but stopped there. Today, it is a little survivor that has the potential to become a great representative of the model in the future.

Facts about the model

Volkswagen Passat, Type B1, produced between 1974 and 1980, is the successor to the Volkswagen Type 3 and Volkswagen K70. The Passat, named after a wind, was a new model series in the mid-size segment, based on the Audi 80 from the front to the "B" pillar. The first car rolled off the production line at the end of May 1973. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro's company, Italdesign, where the distinctive wedge-shaped design of the 2-door body, the rear end, and the large rear side windows are prominent design elements.
