Description

The car was purchased new on August 4, 1974, by an American physician, Gordon Thinamen, in Minnesota. When he moved to California, he took the car with him and it's in California, its half its life in the dry state climate.
In 2000 the car was imported to Sweden. This sonett is in a very good working condition with original paint; the driver's door was damaged in the -70's and is repainted.
The car is slightly tuned with new camshaft and Weber 32/36 carburetor, original carburetor and camshaft included with the car. Re upholstered seats (2012). Blinkers and parking lights changed to Swedish version (2012). Pertronix switchless ignition system with high-power coil (2013). Replacement brake cylinders and rear brake calipers (2016). New thermostat (2016). New Sachs clutch and new flywheel (2019). Replace all hoses and clamps in cooling systems (2019). Tuned and adjusted by Lundblads Motor Service on rolling road (2019).

Facts about the model

Saab Sonett III presenterades i New York våren 1970.
