"It’s always a special feeling to sit in a “jungle drum.” A Swedish time capsule where you can truly appreciate the owner’s respect for originality. It may not be 100%, but it’s original—and that’s something I really like."

Description

This car has had a total of nine owners. We have been able to trace the four most recent, and for the most part the car has been driven in the Östergötland region. The current owner purchased the car in 2016 and has therefore owned and driven it for around 10 years. During this time, many wear-and-tear parts have been replaced and improvements have been made.

Recent work includes replacement of CV joints, shock absorbers, and brakes, installation of an electronic ignition system, new carpets, new tires, a rebuilt carburetor, and a new SU fuel pump.

Externally, the car remains in unrestored condition. It was last inspected in 2017. A fair amount of older documentation is included, along with one set of keys, a jack, and a spare wheel.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The engine runs very well and feels lively and eager to rev. The gears engage as they should, and the brakes bite firmly. All technical equipment is functioning properly, including the gauges and other electrical systems. Good tires fitted on original wheels.

  • Interior condition

Very nice interior. The seat surfaces are likely completely original and are intact and clean. Door panels, dashboard, and headliner are in good driver condition. Recently replaced carpet. Seat belts are present. Overall, a very nice impression in the cabin.

  • Exterior condition

The paint has a nice shine but is slightly faded, suggesting it is original and has held up very well. There are some minor blemishes, scratches, and stone chips, but for an original car this does not detract from the overall impression. The right side mirror is missing. Chrome and trim are in good driver condition. Functional locks and one set of keys are included.

  • General condition

A charming overall impression that attracts plenty of admiring glances. According to the owner, it takes time to refuel as people often stop to chat. A car that is becoming increasingly rare on today’s roads. It’s clear that the current owner has preserved its originality while keeping it in very good, drivable condition.
