Volkswagen Typ 2 T1 Transporter Kleinbus — 1966

• Mechanical condition

  The original engine has been replaced with a more powerful 1500 cc engine producing 44 horsepower, and this modification has been duly noted and registered. Recently, the car underwent an overhaul of the electrical system and received a general service. The engine has good power and the gearbox feels fine, but there is an issue with the reverse which tends to jump out of gear sometimes.

• Interior condition

  The interior is nice and fresh with normal wear and tear, where the driver's seat naturally requires a small upholstery repair, which seems to be in the form of sewing stitches. The repair is not urgent and appears to be in good shape. During the honeymoon trip, the middle sofa was replaced with a simple bed construction, and the central sofa was removed. It has now been replaced with a sofa from another bus, featuring a slightly different upholstery. The holder for the small dining table remains on the right rear door, and the table itself is still present. The interior roof is in good condition, and the upholstery in the cargo area looks fine.

• Exterior condition

  The original paint is polished and surprisingly in excellent condition. There is some surface rust around the window edges and stone chip cracks on the front, which add to the attractive patina. The bumpers and wheels have been repainted. The model year has rear doors on both sides, and this configuration is said to be a result of the upcoming switch to right-hand traffic in 1967. The central auxiliary light was installed by SSA as a sort of searchlight when they drove around the fields, inspecting sugar beets during nighttime driving.

• General condition

  A bus that can attract many bus enthusiasts, it is untouched in a way that is particularly appealing. And for those who enjoy amusing registration numbers, this number may hold a special significance and value for a Simpson fan. Google "Doh!" to find out more.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
