This rare Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer was produced as part of a numbered special edition. This particular motorcycle is number 449 of 750, manufactured in 2017. The V7 III Racer is the sportiest model in the range and also the most premium, featuring high-end components such as Öhlins rear shock absorbers. It is a clear example of Moto Guzzi’s craftsmanship and ability to create bespoke factory special models. True to the Racer tradition, it has a single-seat sporty appearance, although this version is approved for two riders. Another distinctive feature is the extensive use of anodized black aluminum, which further enhances its exclusive character.
The motorcycle was taken off the road in 2023 and stored in a garage at 499.5 miles. During the autumn, while riding home from a vehicle meet, the speedometer suddenly stopped working. This turned out to be a known warranty issue, where a small plastic shaft inside the speedometer breaks — a problem that has affected all V7 III Racer models. Moto Guzzi has previously resolved this issue under goodwill, but the situation is currently somewhat uncertain since the Swedish general agent Probike was terminated before Christmas 2025.
The owner has been in contact with Moto Guzzi, who have stated that a new general agent will be appointed in the spring. The hope is that the issue can still be resolved under goodwill at that time. If not, replacement parts are available for a few hundred SEK, according to Moto Guzzi representatives, making the repair reasonably affordable.
