The restoration was completed and the car passed its final inspection in May 2021.

Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The engine starts immediately and runs beautifully, with no issues, unusual noises, or unwanted rattles. On the road, the car feels well-balanced and enjoyable to drive, with a smooth gear change and solid braking performance. If being particularly critical, the brakes could perhaps benefit from a minor adjustment as they feel slightly too sharp in operation. An additional dashboard-mounted rev counter has been fitted, giving the interior a period sporting touch.
The engine bay presents exceptionally well and still has the appearance of a freshly restored car. There are no mechanical issues or noteworthy faults to report. It sits on a superb set of steel wheels fitted with newer tyres, completing the period-correct look.
Inspection-exempt and fully sorted, this Volvo is ready to be driven home and enjoyed immediately. -
Interior condition
Interior still looks virtually new in every detail, presenting in exceptionally clean and tidy condition with no damage to note. The only minor imperfections are two small marks on the dashboard pad, which is the original item that was carefully retained and refitted during the renovation.
-
Exterior condition
A wonderful-looking car and a rare sight today, especially finished in this beautiful dark blue with matching blue interior – a perfect colour combination.
The bodywork is near perfect, with no dents, damage, or rust issues to be found anywhere, including the underbody. The paintwork has a deep shine and presents superbly, complemented by bright, gleaming chrome details all around. The fitted spotlights are currently not connected to the electrical system. -
General condition
A professionally executed renovation completed with considerable time, knowledge and investment. Most people would never realise this is not an original PV Sport, as it looks, feels and drives like one – if not better. A beautifully sorted classic that can be enjoyed for many years to come without needing anything done.
