Nissan Sunny Coupé — 1987

The most stylish Nissan model, a coupe with unmistakable sharp 1980s lines. In the American market, the model was called Sentra. Here is a fine example that has been displayed at the Härnösand Car Museum

Description

The coolest Sunny model. Here is a fine example from the Härnösand Car Museum. A delightful youngtimer with a tough design and in good condition. The body is in great shape with a good paint job. The interior is clean and in excellent condition. Overall, the car is in very good usable condition. According to information from the Swedish Transport Agency, there are currently less than 110 registered examples of the Nissan Sunny Coupe from the model years 1985 to 1991.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. It feels lively with its 70 horsepower. There are no specific issues, but the car was due for a vehicle inspection in April 2023. It should pass the inspection after a routine check-up and maintenance.

  • Interior condition:

Well-maintained original interior with stylish sport seats. There is normal wear on the driver's seat, but it is in good condition overall, as shown in the pictures.

  • Exterior condition:

The body is in good condition with no notable damages or rust, but there are some surface scratches in a few places. It would benefit from a polishing to restore its full beauty. The left front fender has been touched up with paint, as shown in the picture.

  • General condition:

The overall impression is very good. It is a fine example of a rare model today. It would make for a delightful hobby or collector's car, perfect for enthusiasts.

Facts about the model

The Nissan Sunny is a true long-lasting model. The first generation was introduced as the Datsun Sunny back in 1966. This particular car belongs to the sixth generation, known as the Nissan Sunny B12, which was manufactured from 1986 to 1990. In the United States, it was sold as the Sentra.

The B12 Sunny was available in three body styles: a four-door sedan, a five-door wagon, and a three-door hatchback coupe. Front-wheel drive and manual transmission were the most common configurations, but Nissan also offered automatic transmission and four-wheel drive options. This car represents the sleek three-door hatchback coupe variant, with its distinctive sharp 1980s lines. In our opinion, it is the coolest Sunny model ever.
