Description
Power comes from a 2.0-litre Audi engine built by Trendab, producing 218 hp and an impressive 260 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed Quaife sequential gearbox featuring dog engagement and straight-cut gears. Upshifts can be made at full throttle, as the ignition is momentarily cut when the gear lever is actuated, allowing the next gear to engage seamlessly.
The car is fitted with an English live rear axle equipped with a newly installed limited-slip differential. Its bodywork is constructed primarily from aluminium, with only the wings and nose cone made from fibreglass.
The tonneau cover was custom-made by a professional sailmaker and features an exceptional fit and finish. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable two-way Protech dampers, providing excellent handling characteristics.
In its current specification, the car weighs just 530 kg, contributing to its outstanding performance and agility.
The car is also exempt from periodic roadworthiness inspections under Swedish regulations.

Facts about the model
A brief history
Founded in 1987 by Lars Svensson and Magnus Haferbier, Esther Chassieteknik initially designed its cars around components from the Triumph Herald. As the model evolved, the chassis was adapted to accept engines from a variety of manufacturers, including Ford, Volvo, Opel, Audi, and Alfa Romeo.
The Esther 7 is renowned for its lightweight construction, typically weighing between 600 and 700 kg. This low weight provides exceptional handling and impressive performance, even with relatively modest engine outputs.
Only a limited number of chassis were ever produced, making the Esther one of Sweden's rarest and most exclusive specialist sports car marques.
