Description
The years passed, and the car proved to be exactly as reliable as he had hoped. It ran like a clock. He took care of it, gave it the maintenance it needed, and spent a little extra time keeping it in great shape. Then, by pure chance, everything changed. At a flea market, he came across some old car magazines and decided to buy them. Back home, as he flipped through the pages, he suddenly paused. There, among the articles, was a feature on his very own car—his car, with photos, text, and a history he had never known about.
The more he read, the more the pieces fell into place. The car had been displayed at Elmia in 2014, where it had apparently received praise. And not only that—it had also appeared in the film series Crimes of Passion (the Maria Lang series), featuring actors such as Ola Rapace and Tuva Novotny.
This Oldsmobile is in restored, driver-ready condition—perfect for summer outings.

Facts about the model
Design and body:
The styling was typical of the late 1930s, with rounded fenders that still stood out from the body, which was relatively tall and narrow, along with a classic chrome grille.
It was available in several body styles, including a 2-door coupé, 4-door sedan, and Club sedan (a more streamlined two-door variant).
Engine and technology:
The Model 66 was equipped with an inline six-cylinder engine of approximately 3.9 liters (239 cubic inches), producing around 90–95 horsepower. It featured a side-valve (flathead) design, which was standard at the time. The model came with a three-speed manual transmission, with the Hydramatic automatic available as an option. Notably, the Hydramatic was the first mass-produced fully automatic transmission for passenger cars.
Driving experience:
It wasn’t built for performance, but rather for comfort and reliability, offering soft suspension and gentle acceleration. It delivers a stable and composed ride on the open road rather than a sporty driving feel.
