Denna tidiga PV 544 har haft samma kvinnliga ägare sedan 1989 och innan dess hennes morfar. Bilen har renoverats av professionell firma i Töcksfors i Värmland för drygt 60 000 kronor för tio år sedan. Sedan har bilen endast använts på somrarna. Fortfarande jättefin lack och kaross. Fint krom men behöver poleras något. Ingen rost och inga skador. Framsäten med sliten klädsel – förarstolen behöver kläs om med nytt tyg, men det finns på VP-Autoparts i originalutförande. Innertak bytt men tyvärr några hål längst bak. Radio med högtalare på hatthyllan och antenn. Eftermonterad förvaringskorg följer med.

Motor startar och går bra. Bromsar behöver översyn, pedal trög och bromsar anliggande. Kupéfläkt och tuta med mera funkar ej – troligen oxiderade säkringar. Nyckel till tanklock saknas. Bruksskick under bil – rostig ljuddämpare.. Motorrum rent och snyggt renoverat. 70 procent av däcken kvar.

Innertak verkar vara bytt – men skadat och små hål finns. Övrig inredning troligtvis original. Klädsel på säten sliten. Instrumentpanel, reglage, dörrsidor, hatthylla i helt använt fint originalskick.

Mycket fin kaross fint omlackerad, något rinn finns. Tre rosor i lack på taket. Krom behöver poleras. Gummilister i ok skick. Fälgar i bruksskick.

Facts about the model
The production of Volvo PV 544 A started in 1958, and it was easy to recognize the look of the predecessor PV 444. Any way the larger windows and the rear lights partially changed the character. Also inside, there was plenty of news with basically the same dashboard as in the Volvo 121 Amazon, hanging accelerator pedal and the handbrake handle between the front seats.
The Volvo PV 544 A, produced between 1958 and 1960, were available in Standard, Special I, Special II and Sport versions. The simplest was Standard with a B16A-engine and a three speed gearbox. In August 1960 the B model was launched with fully synchronized gearboxes as the most important news.
