Description
The current owner’s late husband, a devoted Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, purchased the car in 1998. It was already in this fine condition at the time, and over the years he maintained it with great care and had it serviced regularly.
The Mercedes-Benz was used only during the summer months and was always kept garaged when not in use. Following his passing, the car was inherited by his widow and has been driven very sparingly since.
Extensive documentation is included with the car, along with a black hardtop in very good condition.

The car runs very well and everything functions as it should. It feels stable on the road, and the brakes work effectively without pulling to either side. It has recently received a recommissioning service.

The paintwork is in very fine condition, showing only a few minor signs of use. The chrome is excellent throughout, with nothing to remark upon. The soft top is complete and watertight, and a fine black hardtop is also included. The car sits on good tyres fitted to its original wheels with hubcaps.

The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is one of the marque’s most classic sports cars and was introduced in 1955 as a more accessible and elegant younger sibling to the exclusive 300 SL.
The 190 SL was produced from 1955 to 1963 and was powered by a 1.9-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing around 105 hp. The engine was paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. The car was developed primarily for comfortable grand touring rather than outright racing performance.
Its body was styled in an elegant and distinctly period roadster design, with a long bonnet, short rear section and the characteristic Mercedes-Benz grille. The 190 SL could be supplied with both a soft top and a removable hardtop, making it suitable both as a summer roadster and for longer journeys.
Several changes and improvements were introduced during the production run, including updates to the instrumentation, bumpers, rear lights and various interior details. In total, approximately 26,000 examples were produced.

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
