Beschreibung
The body shell, doors, boot lid, bonnet, and both subframes have been painted. Many parts have been replaced or sourced, and a large number of loose parts are included – although it’s impossible to guarantee that every single item for a complete car is present. A lot of the components are new – see photos for reference.
The loose engine included is a 1098 cc unit rebuilt by ENEM in Nacka, with parts sourced from Jana in Bålsta. The carburetors were refurbished and tuned by Rolle Ronwill. Most of the interior was purchased in the UK; the front seats are recliner models, and the upholstery appears to be Newton Commercial’s “gold brocade” design. The rear seat and headliner are factory originals.
Also included is a new wiring harness from Auto Sparks, an RC40 exhaust system with matching manifold, and a set of 100+ wheels with tires – see photos.
A promising project that, with a moderate amount of effort and cost, could become something truly special.

Fakten zum Modell
The original Mini was launched in 1959 and was truly revolutionary, thanks to its space-efficient and innovative design, masterminded by Alec Issigonis. His goal was to create a small, affordable car with excellent road manners—and he succeeded.
One of the car’s earliest and most enthusiastic admirers was John Cooper, who ran a successful Formula One racing team at the time. Cooper used BMC engines in his race cars and immediately recognized the Mini’s performance potential. A spark of an idea was born.
John Cooper approached Alec Issigonis with the idea of a more powerful Mini, but Issigonis was firmly against the notion. He saw the Mini as a car for the people—not a performance machine. Nevertheless, Cooper persisted.
In 1961, John Cooper finally got his wish. A larger 997 cc engine producing 57 hp was developed from the original 850cc, 37 hp unit, and the Mini Cooper was born. It came with upgraded interior trim, front disc brakes, and a contrasting roof color.
A more potent version was introduced in 1963: the Cooper S 1071cc, which featured even larger and more robust disc brakes and was produced in a limited run.
Then came 1964—a landmark year. Three new engine variants were launched: the Cooper S 1275 cc, the Cooper S 970 cc, and a more street-friendly 998 cc engine for the regular Cooper. The reason for the various engine sizes was the classification system in motorsport, which divided cars into classes based on engine displacement: up to 850 cc, 1000 cc, 1150 cc, and 1300 cc. With these options, there was a Mini for every racing class.
