After finally acquiring the car, the current owner has enjoyed it at local shows and classic car events. Most recently, he invested over 45,000 SEK in a complete new interior, which has transformed the cabin and helped the car present exceptionally well both inside and out.
The car runs and drives very well and is ready for its next owner to enjoy. If I were keeping the car myself, the only jobs I would consider would be cosmetic improvements in the engine bay—cleaning and detailing the engine block, repainting the fan blades, fitting a fresh valve cover and generally tidying the area while retaining the original paintwork in the engine compartment. These are purely minor details on an otherwise very attractive and usable Volvo 1800S.

Zustand technisch
Easy to start with a little choke and, after a couple of minutes to warm up properly, the engine runs smoothly and quietly with no issues. The car is easy to drive, with a good-shifting gearbox, solid brakes, and is inspection-exempt.
It has recently been serviced, with recent work including the replacement of the fuel pump and clutch cylinder. The car is fitted with a newer set of Microlite alloy wheels wearing modern tyres. Also included is a full set of original steel wheels complete with the original chrome hubcaps. -
Zustand Interieur
Interior has been completely renewed in every detail, including the seats, carpets, door panels, door cards, dashboard pad, headliner, and sun visors. A custom-made panel for the overdrive switch has also been fitted, finished in the same alloy trim as the dashboard for a factory-style appearance. All seats have been re-stuffed and rebuilt, making the cabin exceptionally comfortable and a pleasure to spend time in.

Zustand Exterieur
Bodywork is clean and straight throughout, with no major dents, damage, or rust issues to report. The only point worth noting is that the chrome trim on the driver's door would benefit from a slight adjustment to improve its alignment. The underside is clean and tidy with no significant rust concerns visible, although there are some older signs of welding repairs and minor overspray around the fuel tank area.
The paintwork presents exceptionally well, with a deep shine and excellent finish throughout. Only a few very light washing marks can be found upon close inspection, with nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. Chrome work around the car is bright and presentable, with only minor oxidation visible around the boot handle and rear light surrounds (see pictures). The boot compartment is clean, although the carpet is currently missing. -
Zustand gesamt
A car you can simply jump in and enjoy. good looking car that needs no major work for years to come. A little cosmetic tidying in the engine bay would take an already attractive car to the next level.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
