Beschreibung
The car was delivered with the Linear package + Alarm, Engine Heater, and the Nordic Stage 1 package, producing 225 hp and 330 Nm of torque. It comes with good summer tires (see customer photos) and good winter tires, though the winter rims are not in the same fantastic condition as the rest of the car.
The car pulls strongly across the entire power band, and the Nordic package is particularly noticeable in the low-end torque.
This is a Generation YS3F Facelift, introduced in 2011. The facelift included both exterior and interior updates aimed at modernizing the car’s design. This generation is known for its unique styling and driving experience, making it popular among enthusiasts.

A well-preserved SportCombi from the latest model year. It’s hard to find a similar car in such excellent condition. A future classic—if it hasn’t already achieved that status.

Fakten zum Modell
In 2006, Saab introduced a 9-3 with ethanol power, the Saab BioPower, which was promoted in a TV commercial featuring the song Release Me by Oh Laura.
The Saab 9-3 was replaced in 2002 (for the 2003 model year) by a completely new version. To some enthusiasts' disappointment, Saab abandoned the classic combi coupé design in favor of a sedan body style, which they named SportSedan (SS). Despite this, the new model received positive reviews for its excellent driving dynamics.
New engine options were introduced, both turbocharged and naturally aspirated, as part of GM’s strategy to reduce the number of base engines across their brands. As a result, the Saab 9-3 was offered with two global gasoline engines:
A four-cylinder inline engine
A six-cylinder V-engine
These engines, globally known as Ecotec and HFV6 (High Feature V6), were jointly developed by General Motors Powertrain in the USA, Germany, and Sweden, with assistance from Lotus Engineering and Ricardo in Detroit, USA.
The 9-3’s engines were not assembled in Sweden, but instead in:
Kaiserslautern, Germany (Opel’s engine plant)
Port Melbourne, Australia (Holden’s engine plant)
Parts were sourced from multiple countries. General Motors Powertrain in Södertälje, Sweden, was responsible for adapting the engines for forced induction, including turbocharging, a hallmark of Saab.
The smallest 1.8L naturally aspirated engine, sourced directly from Opel, was used in a cheaper entry-level model.
