Beschreibung
It comes with a well-documented service history from a small number of owners in Germany. The most recent approved inspection was carried out on June 2, 2025. The auction car is one of only a few registered in Sweden. A total of 1,284 Forfour Brabus units were produced between 2005 and 2006, and the model was never sold new on the Swedish market.
Teknische Daten
Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
The engine, gearbox, chassis, and brakes all feel good with no issues. It has a solid history with a neatly filled-in service book. The owner also carried out a service privately after importing the car. The timing belt was replaced recently, in the summer of 2025.
-
Zustand Interieur
A nice interior and a better overall impression than one might expect given the mileage. The sunroof and its shade work well, and the door panels and headliner are in good condition. In the photos of the door panels, some backlight has entered the camera lens, which is what causes the bright areas.
The protective plastic on the infotainment unit (possibly still from when the car was new?) has partially come loose. At the same time, it feels like a fairly thick, older protective film. The owner is also unsure about this. -
Zustand Exterieur
A presentable and attractive exterior in relation to the mileage. There are some stone chips and slightly sandblasted wheel arch edges—nothing unusual, and on a black car these are simply more noticeable. The original wheels are fitted, with minor damage to the front right rim, and the tires have good tread—Maxxis at the front and Falken at the rear.
-
Zustand gesamt
A relatively expensive small performance car when new, today a rare future classic—and in some ways a footnote in automotive history—with good documentation and in fine condition relative to its mileage.

Fakten zum Modell
Smart began as a collaboration between Volkswagen and the watch company Swatch to develop a small two-seater city car, resulting in a concept car in the early 1980s. Volkswagen later withdrew from the project, and Daimler-Benz continued the development, eventually taking full responsibility for the car. The name is an abbreviation of Swatch-Mercedes-ART.
In 1998, the first model was introduced, initially called the City Coupé (later renamed Fortwo). In the early 2000s, the Smart concept expanded to include additional models, such as a small roadster and a four-seater in the Golf class. The latter, the Forfour, was developed in cooperation with Mitsubishi and produced at NedCar in Born, the Netherlands, where Volvo also manufactured models such as the 300 series, S40, and V50.
However, due to low demand and a clearer focus on the brand, production of both the Forfour and the Roadster was discontinued in 2006. The Forfour Brabus is a variant developed by the Mercedes-focused tuning and refinement company Brabus, featuring an upgraded version of Mitsubishi’s 4G15 engine producing 177 hp—27 hp more than its platform sibling, the Mitsubishi Colt CZT.
