Excelsior-Henderson is notable as one of 'The Big 3' motorcycle makers alongside Harley-Davidson and Indian. This one features the classic V Twin engine.
It was probably sold in Sweden from new and put into storage from 1929. According to a previous it the bike starts and runs, but the gearbox needs adjusting and an inspection.
This Big X has been in storage at a car museum in Gillstad outside Lidköping for many years, where a radio dealer has taken old vehicles in exchange since the 1950s. The cars and motorcycles then showed up in his private museum.

Old Swedish reg nr F366 can be used for new registration.
Fakten zum Modell
American Excelsior in Chicago manufactured between 1907 and 1931 motorcycles. By the end of the 1920s, Excelsior was the country's third largest manufacturer after today more famous Indian and Harley Davidson. Excelsior's operations, however, had to be shut down in 1931 in connection with the great depression.
