The car was sold new in Sweden and registered in the vehicle registry on November 17, 1983. We have been able to trace the ownership history back to 1987. The odometer currently shows just under 149,000 km. We cannot guarantee that the mileage is correct, but we have found nothing to suggest otherwise. The current owner has owned the car for 18 years, and one of the previous owners kept the car for 20 years. In other words, it has had few owners since new – a total of six owners according to the Swedish Transport Agency's register. The current owner has used the car sparingly and has always stored it in a heated garage. He estimates that he has driven just under 11,000 km in 18 years. Since the last inspection, carried out on April 30, 2026, the car has covered only 130 km.
When the current owner bought the car in 2008, the temperature gauge was not working, so the previous owner had auxiliary gauges installed by the console. It turned out that the batteries on the SI board (Service Interval board) were old and depleted. The current owner therefore had the instrument cluster refurbished, which means the auxiliary gauges can now be removed, as they are no longer needed. The car comes with an owner's manual, a completed service book, one ignition key, and a large number of inspection reports. A spare wheel and jack are also included. Last but not least, the car's original aluminum wheels, in good condition with older tires, are also included.

Equipped with a 3.4-liter straight-six engine producing 175 hp and a five-speed manual gearbox. Both the engine and gearbox function without remark. New shock absorbers and springs all around. Fitted with a sport exhaust system that delivers a slightly louder and deeper tone.

Complete and attractive interior with normal wear for its age and mileage. No notable damage. Equipped with auxiliary gauges located in the console by the gear lever. The interior fan only works on the highest setting. The door rubber seals have become somewhat dry and hard over the years, but they are still intact and functional. The sunroof works well.

The paint is in very good condition; a repaint in the original color was carried out 20 years ago and it still presents beautifully. The chrome and bright trim are in good condition. The wheels are 17-inch aftermarket wheels with tires in size 255/40-17". The original wheels are included separately. The car has been treated with a brown-colored rust-proofing wax in the cavities, so it is this wax that has seeped out and is visible at the A-pillars.

The BMW E24 is the first generation of the BMW 6 Series grand tourer cars, produced from January 1976 to 1989, replacing the BMW E9 coupe.
The E24 was produced solely in a 2-door coupe body style. All models used gasoline-powered straight-six engines, and most (except for the M635CSi/M6 model) used a version of the BMW M30 engine family. The E24 shared many parts with the E12 5 Series, and in 1982 it was updated with parts from the newly released E28 5 Series.
The M635CSi is the first in the BMW M6 series and is powered by the M88/3 straight-six. In North America, the car is badged as the "M6" and uses the less powerful BMW S38 engine.
