Description
The car was purchased by the previous owner on May 26, 1972. At the time of purchase, it had already been repainted yellow, although the original color is red. Since then, it has been used as an enthusiast car in Falun. The owner, who worked at FIAT in Falun, personally handled all servicing and maintenance. The car has always been stored indoors in a garage and has not undergone any major restorations—only regular care, maintenance, and repairs. The soft top has been replaced over the years. Otherwise, the car is largely untouched and has served as a summer car continuously since 1972. It has also participated in Fiat club meetings and club drives. The car is road-registered and has been driven regularly, most recently in the summer of 2025. A large number of spare parts, literature, documentation, a hardtop, and wheels are included with the Fiat—see photos. Two sets of keys.

Mechanical condition
The engine and drivetrain run well once warmed up. The starter motor’s pinion does not always engage the flywheel, and the ignition key sometimes needs to be turned again—likely due to worn teeth. It is recommended to inspect the car’s various systems, as it has mostly been standing still and has been used sparingly in recent times.

The interior is in used condition with some damage and signs of wear and age, mainly on the driver’s seat cushion—see photos.

Exterior condition
The car’s original color is red, but it is now finished in yellow. The paintwork, a ‘garage respray,’ is in poorer condition with imperfections and wear—see photos. Good, intact soft top. The chrome is in normal, used condition with a few small dents and blemishes.

Facts about the model
In the late 1950s, Fiat needed a sports car to seriously compete on the American market. The design was handled by Pininfarina, who borrowed several styling cues from the Ferrari 250 GT California Spider. In 1963, the 1.2-liter engine was replaced by a larger 1500 engine producing 72 hp. The Fiat 1500 then also became available as a coupé.
In early 1965, a five-speed gearbox was introduced and the brakes received power assistance. At the same time, power increased to 75 hp. In 1966, the model was replaced by a completely new generation, although the coupé remained on sale for another year.
Today, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever produced by Fiat and Pininfarina. With few examples remaining, it is considered a true collector’s car.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
