Description
A bit of trivia: a vehicle had been ordered specifically to be brought home as part of the household move (a financially advantageous option before Sweden joined the EU). However, when the car was due for delivery, it turned out it didn’t have the sunroof that had been specified. In order to meet the one-year deadline for import as household goods, the buyer was offered an L-version with full equipment at the same price as compensation. And so it was.
In Sweden, the car has been sparingly driven and always stored in a garage. The owner’s husband, an engineer and automotive enthusiast, has carried out most of the maintenance and service, which has been minimal and trouble-free over the years. Recently, the car was fitted with new front brake calipers and pads.
The current mileage is 95,480 km, of which about 10,000 km have been driven in the last ten years — confirmed by the complete inspection records that come with the car. Also included are the original manuals and documentation. Two sets of keys. Functional alarm and theft-marked windows. Recently inspected and ready to drive.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Starts easily and runs smoothly and pleasantly. The power is there when you step on the gas. During a test drive on a country road and through a residential area, the ride felt comfortable and stable. All functions—steering, handling, automatic transmission with kickdown, and brakes—demonstrate just how well-built and solid this premium vehicle was, and still is.
It has not been inspected on a lift, and as with any 35-year-old vehicle, there may be surprises that aren't immediately visible. However, based on what could be seen and experienced, as well as the inspection records, everything appears to be in order. -
Interior condition
Nice and well-preserved original interior with mild signs of use. The seats offer great comfort, and the door panels and trim are in excellent condition. The same goes for the carpets, headliner, and all interior details such as the steering wheel, controls, and dashboard. The wood trim is in beautifully preserved condition. All electronics and functions are working, including the air conditioning, which cools properly, and the onboard computer. There is a slight pixel loss on the display.

Exterior condition
Well-preserved vehicle in original condition with a beautiful Royal Blue Metallic (BMW’s Royalblau-Metallic) paint finish. Glass, chrome, trim, emblems, and lighting components are all in equally fine condition. Original BMW wheels are in excellent shape, free from damage, and fitted with quality Michelin TRX GT tires. Both the engine bay and trunk are clean and well-kept. There is one area with rust damage on the inner lower rear edge of the passenger door.

General condition
Overall, this is a fine vehicle that clearly reflects its age and mileage. Both the E32 model itself and this car’s exclusive drivetrain, equipment, and color combination embody the very essence of a luxury car and grand tourer from the late '80s and early '90s. Now at 35 years old, it’s ready to claim its place as a true classic and enthusiast’s vehicle.
