Description
Throughout its time in Sweden, the car has been sparingly driven and always garage-kept. It has seen very little use during the winter months, even though a set of winter tires (included in the sale) is available—though they haven't been mounted in years. The car has been well-maintained and cared for, serving as a prized possession for its owner.
Included with the car are: winter wheels, two sets of keys, the original manuals, receipts for service work in Sweden, and inspection records dating back to 2004. All windows are theft-marked, and an alarm system is installed. The car is inspected and ready to drive.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Starts easily and runs smoothly and quietly, with plenty of power when needed. During a test drive in a residential area, everything appeared to function well—steering, handling, clutch, gear shifts, brakes, and all other systems performed as expected.
The car has not been inspected on a lift, but everything visible underneath looked good, and there have never been any remarks from the vehicle inspection. -
Interior condition
The interior is in well-preserved condition with mild signs of use that actually enhance the overall sense of comfort and charm. Seats have good support, and the door panels, trim, carpets, and headliner are all in great shape. Steering wheel, controls, gauges, and all electrical functions are in good condition and fully operational. The A/C blows cold.
-
Exterior condition
Nice and glossy paintwork that, according to available information and visual inspection, appears to be original. There are a few minor scuffs, stone chips, and a small repair near the right front wheel arch/bumper, along with some slight rust bubbling at the rear edges of the door sills.
Glass, trim, plastic/rubber, emblems, and lighting components are all in well-preserved condition. The wheels are in great shape, and the tires are in good condition. Both the engine bay and trunk are clean and well-kept. The spare wheel is original and unused. -
General condition
A delightful car that blends both American and European influences—positively so. The vehicle feels solid, well-built, and tight, with a high level of finish and overall well-preserved condition. This Cobra version has all the qualities to become a sought-after classic and enthusiast’s car.

Facts about the model
Fast forward to the fourth generation, which debuted in 1994. Like many other manufacturers, Ford had seen its once-bold bestsellers watered down by energy crises and safety regulations. But now, inspired by past glories, the company looked back to move forward, reintroducing the Mustang with classic Pony Car proportions: a long hood and short rear deck. More power also made its return. Standard models came with a V6 producing 190 hp, the GT featured V8 engines with 215–260 hp, and the Cobra boasted 305 hp from its V8. Balance had been (more or less) restored.
The Cobra was produced in relatively small numbers and is a rare sight in Sweden. From 1996 to 1998, the so-called SN-95 Modular Cobra featured a new aluminum engine. A total of 28,705 units were built during these years, available as both coupé and convertible. Under the hood was a 4.6L V8 with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Notably, each Cobra engine was hand-built by two-person teams at Ford’s engine plant in Michigan.
In 1996 alone, 7,496 coupé versions were produced, of which 1,376 came in black with black leather interior. The base price for a coupé without options was just under $25,000 at the time. As options were added, the price quickly increased. From the 1999 model year onward, Generation 4 received a facelift, with an updated look and even more power—but that’s another story.
