Description
The Belgian design firm Dimma developed a body kit that could make your 205 look almost like the rally car. The kit gained official sanction from Peugeot, and you could even order a fully built Dimma 205 directly through your Peugeot dealer. It’s estimated that around 1,200–1,300 of these were sold, primarily in France and the UK.
This particular example, however, was delivered new to Sweden. It spent over a decade on display at a Peugeot dealership in Uddevalla, before being sold to a private collector in the same town who saw it more as a collector’s item than a daily driver. It remained with that owner for 23 years before being sold to its current keeper — who has also driven it sparingly. All in all, this special Peugeot has covered just over 14,000 kilometers in its lifetime.

Mechanical condition
It received a mechanical refresh some time ago, including a new timing belt. All the oils are changed. A stainless steel exhaust system has also been fitted. Mechanically, everything functions flawlessly — it feels just as sharp and lively as a proper CTi/GTi should. There’s plenty of driving joy to be had through every gear.

Interior condition
Neat and functional interior. Virtually everything — from carpets and door panels to upholstery — is in flawless condition. A few small plastic details have faded slightly, which is typical for a car of this age and type. No visible damage anywhere. The steering wheel shows minor wear, more from age than actual use. Mounted on the windshield is a period-correct accessory — a fake alarm system, purely for show.

Exterior condition
Very well kept on the outside. The wheels, which are part of the Dimma package, are glossy and nearly flawless, with only minor scuffs on two of them. The paint is in excellent condition with just a few stone chips at the front. Some of the plastic trim — both exterior and interior — has faded slightly over the years, as expected.
The soft top is fresh and free from damage, while the thin plastic rear window shows some marks from being folded down for extended periods. A matching soft top cover, also in excellent condition, is included. the tiers are also new. -
General condition
The Dimma kit was rare to begin with, and it seems that very few convertibles were equipped with it. That, combined with such low mileage, makes this car something of a unicorn. In addition to its incredibly well-preserved condition, you're also struck by the car's character. It comes straight out of the eighties with a cheeky attitude, offering pure, straightforward driving pleasure with no frills.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
