Ford Model A Phaeton De Luxe Cabriolet — 1931?

The car was purchased from the old car museum outside Kil and had belonged to Lennart Johansson's collections since the 1980s. It has a lovely condition because it is completely original and untouched, a real time capsule. Sold unregistered and documents are missing.

• Mechanical condition

• Interior condition

  It’s an original interior that needs cleaning and partial reupholstering.

• Exterior condition

  Old repaint that’s patinated and in a worn condition and the cabriolet roof needs repairing. Bumpers and radiator is painted and the wheel looks like they have been renovated.

• General condition

  This car is worth a carefully renovating and preserving in its present original condition. It needs to be reregistered and the documents are missing.

Varför är nu A-Fordarna så populära? Jo, Henry Ford hade enorma krav på kvalitet i sin produktion och de kraven kom för design, snabbhet och prestanda. Han var bland de första med att elsvetsa, använda rullager istället för kullager då rullagret hade större bärighet. Lackeringsmetoderna var så bra att A-Forden rostade mindre jämfört med andra bilar. Henry Ford hade ca. 40 olika personbilsmodeller och ett 15-tal olika lastfordon att välja på och detta medförde många olika typer av kunder. Anledningen att det finns många A-Fordar kvar att den är mycket enkel att reparera samt renovera. Vi tycker inte att alla A-Fordar ska renoveras till fabriksskick eller finare. Vi skall även kunna visa upp bilar som har en äldre renovering för att kunna visa upp verktadskunnighet från -40, -50, -60 och 70-talet. Hotrodade A-fordar är minst lika häftiga och fina. Vi tycker att alla typer av A-Fordar har lika stort historiskt värde.
Först kom T-Forden och sen uppföljaren som hette A. Ingen bokstavsordning hos Ford.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
• ATTENTION: Many of these cars are sold without valid Swedish registration documents, as spare parts.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
