Volkswagen 1303S — 1974

Nice 1303S and last year’s model in a well-kept condition and runs and drives well. Current owner has had the car for 9 years and it has an approved inspection/MOT. Nice bodywork with a few paint touch ups and little blisters at the front under the paint due to stone chips (pictures). The rear bumper has blisters in the chrome and a small hole.
Whole and nice under body and wings, it’s been repainted and with new wings was probably done sometime in the 1990s by the first owner who had the car until 2005. The car looks nice but the paint needs polished to become really shiny.
Inside the car has original carpets, door cards, dashboard, steering wheel and headliner looks great and seat have been reupholstered
In the trunk, the car is exceptionally good, no rust under the spare wheel or on strut mounts. The engine compartment also looks good it’s a very well kept and nice example.

  Nice to drive with a good engine and gearbox.

• Interior condition

  Original, except for reupholstered seats done that are finished well.

• Exterior condition

  No serious rust damage, but some small blisters are found in the front from stone chips.

• General condition

  Good overall impression in a nice working condition, it’s ready to drive home.

VW 1303 och särskilt då i "S" utförande var toppmodellen i VW-bubblans utveckling under 40 år. Modellen kom 1973 med välvd framruta, skivbromsar och större baklampor samt 1600 motor på 50 Hkr. Det byggdes 25 miljoner bubblor och 1303 var den finaste och sista tysk-byggda bubblan. Upphörde 1975, då VW Golf tog över som volymbil, efter 30 år som storsäljare. De enklare 1200 och 1300-modellerna av bubblan fortsatte att byggas i Brasilien och Mexico i många år till (fram till 1996 resp 2003).

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
• ATTENTION: Many of these cars are sold without valid Swedish registration documents, as spare parts.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
