Description
After many years of use, the car was parked in a garage and eventually required restoration. At the time, it was owned by Kjell Bergqvist, a highly regarded Ford Model T specialist, who carried out a meticulous restoration with a strong focus on preserving its original specification.
Once the restoration was completed, the current owner purchased the car in 2002. Since then, it has been driven very sparingly during the summer months, carefully maintained and given all necessary servicing. The car runs well and can comfortably maintain a speed of 50–60 km/h.

Facts about the model
According to local sources and historical accounts, C. E. Gustafsson, a machinery and motor dealer in Tomelilla, operated a business where Ford Model Ts were assembled during the period from approximately 1912 to 1920. The cars were supplied by Ford as chassis and components, then completed locally with bodies and equipment tailored to the customers’ requirements. This was a common practice during the early years of motoring, when many vehicle manufacturers sold rolling chassis that local companies then turned into finished cars.
The Tomelilla operation primarily served customers in south-eastern Skåne and helped make the Ford Model T available in the region long before Sweden had a nationwide dealer network. When Ford later established more centralised assembly and distribution operations in Stockholm, the need for this type of local assembly diminished.
It should, however, be noted that documentation concerning C. E. Gustafsson’s activities is limited. The information is based mainly on local historical material and heritage research rather than preserved company archives, which is why the operation is rarely mentioned in national literature about Ford in Sweden.
