Chrysler Viper RT-10 — 1996

• Mechanical condition

  The export models of the Viper were delivered with 385 horsepower, whereas the ones in the USA had 450. However, this car had the American software installed through a Chrysler workshop in Gothenburg, giving it the same power as the cars in the home market. The V10 engine surprisingly emits very little noise at idle and, even though it roars more aggressively at higher revs, it produces a surprisingly pleasant, beautiful, and low engine sound. The impressive power from the engine is linear throughout, and the manual gearbox feels robust. The chassis is also the updated one that came with the 1997 RT models, the same as the coupe model GTS.

• Interior condition

  The interior is normally used and in a fresh condition. Before delivery, the car will undergo a reconditioning, both inside and out. The loose-hanging indicator lamp to the left is for a couple of extra electric fans, a known feature of early Vipers due to a tendency for high engine temperatures during low-speed driving, such as in city traffic.

• Exterior condition

  The car has black original paint, but it has also been partially repainted, including the front, hood, and sills. The small fabric soft top is in excellent condition and can be easily removed. It can be folded up and stored in the trunk along with the small removable side windows. The early models from 1992-1995 had tent-type side windows, while the ones seen in the pictures were introduced in 1996, and the following year, regular side windows with power windows were introduced. Dodge/Chrysler was quick in developing the side windows during that time. The car has older tires mounted, but new ones are available in the garage and will be included (shown in the picture). One center cap is missing in the pictures, but it is available in the garage and will also be included.

• General condition

  Exciting and groundbreaking car concept that represents a special American car culture, and here, it's in a Swedish-sold, pleasant, and unusually low-mileage excellent condition.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
