Mercedes-Benz 300 TD Turbo W123 — 1982

• Mechanical condition

  The car starts and runs on the road, but the automatic gearbox requires attention. During the test drive, the gearbox slipped on an uphill gradient and the car moved forward with limited power. Automatic downshifting did not occur, even with a warm gearbox, while upshifting from standstill functioned normally. We recommend that the gearbox is inspected before use and that the vehicle is collected by transport.
  
  The diesel engine runs somewhat rough at certain revs in the mid-range, with vibrations felt in the car. The air pump is new. The rocker cover gasket has been replaced and the entire engine bay is cleaned, including the underside of the engine. See photographs. The front anti-roll bar is new.
  
  The oil in the level control reservoir is almost black, but the level control on the rear dampers functions. The gas strut to the tailgate is not functioning. The bonnet release handle in the car is loose but the bonnet opening still works. The locking mechanism of the left rear door requires adjustment but the lock functions. Original keys are missing. There is only a so-called wallet key, which fits all lock cylinders including the starter lock. See photograph.
  
  The radio functions as do the other functions in the instrument panel.

• Interior condition

  Good interior and complete seats. The driver's seat has been replaced and the new one does not have the same appearance as the original even though the color matches the rest of the upholstery. The roof is clean and intact as is the instrument panel. The floor mats are in good usable condition and there are no visible rust damage in the floor. There is a superficial damage on the rear seat. See picture.

• Exterior condition

  The paintwork is generally good, although there are some rust bubbles and signs of previous rust repairs in the lower edges of the bodywork and at the jack point, as well as rust under the sill of the tailgate. See images. The wing edges are in good condition but there is an old repair on the left rear wing at the rear. See image. Hood and door gaps are without remarks. See image.

• General condition

  A nice Mercedes in usable condition.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
