Description
The car belongs to a devoted Saab family. The owner worked at Saab's aviation division in Linkšping since the early 1950s and he always drove a Saab. This car was his last car before retirement. After the owner's death in 1995, his wife continued to drive it until the age of 91. She was as meticulous as her man was, the car was garaged and serviced every year. The car was not driven in winter for several years. For the past 10 years, the car has been used when her daughter has taken her on excursions during their visits to Linkšping. During the summer and autumn of the Corona year 2020, the Saab came in extra useful and joyful, when a grandson had to borrow the Saab to avoid using Stockholm's public transport. In connection with that, the car received a basic service, new brake discs, brake shoes and rear brake callipers, lights and a fan belt so that it would work well and be safe and secure. In June 2022, the car passed its inspection without any complaints. The Saab is in very good used condition. It feels newer than it is.

Runs well in the engine and drivetrain. Somewhat jerky at the time of photography.

Interior condition
Very nice interior apart from the hanging headliner, see pictures. The glove compartment lid has traditional blisters.

Exterior condition
The car has survived well from rust. There are some small dents but they are so small that they are not visible in the pictures. It looks like the car has most of its original paint left.

A Saab in very good condition that has been well cared for.

Facts about the model
Saab 900 började tillverkas under hösten 1978 som årsmodell 1979. I grunden var 900:an en rejält omarbetad Saab 99. Den mest framträdande förändringen var en längre nos som kom till för att möta nya amerikanska säkerhetskrav. Bilens totallängd ökade med 21 centimeter och axelavståndet med drygt 5 centimeter. En annan framträdande förändring var den stora välvda framrutan som gav kupén en känsla av rymd. Från början fanns Saab 900 bara som Combicoupé men redan 1981 kompletterades programutbudet med en sedan. Saab 900 tillverkades fram till årsmodell 1993.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
