Description
A man from Västerås ordered this car in 1972 with all the extra equipment available, including sun hatch, original antenna, etc. Since he wanted something special, it was ordered right-hand driven. He himself built a radio panel with both cassette and stereo 8 as well as several electrical features such as a belt detector, a timer for heaters, several extra instruments, buttons etc.
The current owner bought the car in 1990 and lent it to the VW Museum in Pålsboda for several years. When the museum bought its own 1600 it was returned home and there it remained for a few years partly outdoors where it received some damage to the right fender when a snow plow bumped it. The paintjob also became dull during this time but will probably be fine again when polished. The car has reportedly only run 4 933 miles but which BWA cannot guarantee.
