Mechanical condition
The engine has been slightly modified in the cylinder head and runs smoothly with a distinct Volvo-like engine sound that enthusiasts would recognize. A 2.5-inch exhaust system contributes to the performance. There is a decal in the rear window indicating that the engine is still being broken in, which is true. The gearbox and clutch operate as they should.

Interior condition
Classic sports steering wheel with a 70s vibe, accompanied by an original Volvo radio. The interior in beige "woven plastic" upholstery, as it was called back then, feels somehow more exclusive than anything in black.

Exterior condition
First-class paint in the original color Körbärsröd (Cherry Red). In the historical rally classes, you are only allowed to use accessories that were classified during the time when the car was active and new. Widened steel wheels are part of that and contribute to the sporty appearance of this everyday Amazon. Four sturdy Bosch Rallye Knick 180 auxiliary lights with plastic covers literally round off the setup.

Facts about the model
The bulletproof B18 engine with 75 horsepower was introduced for the 1962 model year. In 1965, there were several changes including a new grille, new seats and interior, as well as "hålfälgar" (vented wheels) and new hubcaps. The 1969 model year saw the introduction of an even larger engine, the 2.0-liter B20A with 82 horsepower, available in the "regular" 121 model. Improved and safer brakes, as well as several upgrades from the 140 series, were included, although there were some restrictions such as the removal of chrome drip rails and hood trim. There were no major changes or development steps in the final production years. New colors, including "Mellanblå" (Medium Blue) from the 140 series, were introduced in 1969.
When the 1970s arrived, the Amazon was retired after 14 model years and a total of 667,332 units produced. It was available in two, four, or five doors, and offered in various versions from standard to Sport and GT. It has become a Swedish icon and a piece of automotive history.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
