Description
The body was cast in Gävle by a company that had a partnership with a company in Ödeshög that manufactured the frame.
Builder Arne Lindstrand in Nyköping demonstrated professional car building craftsmanship.
The engine is a restored Boss 302, gearbox Tremex T5, front axle Jaguar XJS, rear axle Jaguar S.
After Arne completed the Cobra, he drove it for nearly 30 years before selling it to the current owner in 2015.
The car has now been serviced and inspected by the well-renowned Fridafors Bilservice.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The car has a recently renovated Boss 302 engine that runs excellently. All mechanicals function flawlessly. A slight vibration is present when releasing the clutch, caused by a coating on the clutch plates due to the car having been driven very little recently. This will likely disappear once the car has been driven more.
-
Interior condition
Professionally executed interior in fine condition with nothing to fault.
-
Exterior condition
Professional-quality paintwork in excellent condition, as is all the chrome. New tyres on fine alloy wheels.
-
General condition
A wonderful replica of a coveted and rare classic. Here an example that runs excellently and is completely roadworthy.
Facts about the model
Through SFRO's inspection system, homemade Cobra replicas have been able to be registered legally, provided they meet safety and construction requirements. This created a large Swedish building culture where each car is often unique.
The Swedish tradition is therefore not just about copying a classic sports car, but also about advanced craftsmanship and engineering where many cars are more modern and technically superior to 1960s originals.
