This early Multipla is from 1957. This Multipla was sold new in Västerås and eventually ended up in Lindesberg. The current owner and a friend of his found two Multipla's parked on a lawn in Småland. They decided to buy them and then restore them. When the owner brought his Multipla home, the complete restoration began. It lasted for six years, during which the body was fully blasted, repaired for rust, rustproofed, and repainted. The car received new flooring, beams, thresholds, fender edges, and more. The original engine was overhauled. The car also received new brakes, brake lines, hoses, and drums. It had new upholstery, headliner, door panels, and rubber mats. A new windshield with a rubber seal was installed. The electrical system was refurbished, and a new radiator with water pipes and hoses was fitted. After the restoration was completed, the car participated in several vintage car gatherings, where it attracted a lot of attention. The model is striking and quite rare on the roads today. The car has a highly distinctive design, and it can be difficult for the uninitiated Multipla enthusiast to tell if the car is moving forward or in reverse. This is the owner's latest Fiat project. Fiat is his hobby, but he is getting older now. This Multipla has improvement potential for someone willing to invest some time and effort.

The interior is in good renovated condition. The renovation was carried out by a saddler.

Facts about the model
The Fiat 600 was introduced at the Geneva International Motor Show in 1955. It was the first Fiat car to feature a rear-mounted engine, a water-cooled inline-four. The mechanical design was advanced for its time, with independent suspension on all four wheels and a self-supporting body with rear-hinged doors.
The following year, the 600 Multipla minibus was introduced, which is considered a precursor to today's MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) cars. The driver's seat was moved forward to the front of the car, positioned above the front axle. The front suspension was borrowed from the larger 1100 model.
The Multipla was available with either a four-seat or a six-seat configuration behind the front seats. There was also a taxi version and a van variant.
In 1960, the updated 600 D model was introduced, featuring a larger engine. In 1964, the car received front-hinged doors as an update.

- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
