The car was purchased in November 1998 by a man in Lönsboda. He has taken great care of it and maintained it meticulously. When it was time for him to stop driving last fall, he wanted the current owner, who runs an auto workshop, to buy it as he had been taking care of the car for the past 15 years. The car comes with a fully filled service book and inspection records. After the purchase, the current owner has serviced the car, replaced the brakes, and repainted the sides under the trim. The result is a very nice and well-maintained car for Volvo enthusiasts.

The car runs flawlessly and everything works. Serviced and new brakes all around, even the AC cools nicely.

Interior condition
Very nice interior with only wear on the driver's seat's left side and a spot on the driver's side floor. The rubber trim on the driver's side bottom is defective, otherwise an unused high-class interior.

Exterior condition
The car is in pristine condition with original paint, except for the sides which have been repainted under the trim. The moldings, bumpers, as well as the wheels and tires, are in excellent condition without any flaws.

A well-maintained and roadworthy 940 that is definitely worth preserving and using sparingly.

Facts about the model
Towards the end of the model's production, the designation "SE" was replaced with "Classic" for the 940. The Classic models were equipped as standard with features that were otherwise optional, such as power windows and power mirrors. The 1998 model year was the final year for the 940, hence the Classic designation. The Classic model can be recognized by its white turn signals instead of the previous years' orange ones. It also has slightly different front and rear bumpers, with the upper lip painted in the car's color. The estate model (station wagon) also received an additional decorative strip on the rear between the rear wheel arch and the taillights. This strip gives the Classic estate's taillights a slightly different appearance compared to the regular taillights. In its standard configuration, the Classic model had a chrome grille with ribs, but a grid-style grille with a chrome trim was available as an option.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
