Description
The bike was later imported to England by a company specializing in motorcycle restorations. However, they concluded that its value would be greater if preserved in its original, unrestored condition. The current owner purchased it from them and registered it for road use in Sweden in October 2022.
It is therefore presented as a low-mileage machine in remarkably well-preserved original condition, equipped with a miles-per-hour speedometer—as was entirely correct for the period, since speedometers were not mandatory on motorcycles in Sweden until the 1975 model year.
Today, the current owner’s riding days have unfortunately been curtailed by hip surgery, prompting the sale. The motorcycle underwent registration and roadworthiness inspection on October 7, 2022. No supporting documentation has been retained.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The engine has been inspected, tuned, and serviced by one of the most respected names in the CB750 community, Bo-Göran “Boije” Fredin of Hässleholm. It starts readily on the electric starter and responds best to careful use of the choke when cold. The gearbox operates smoothly, and the brakes perform as they should, contributing to an authentic and enjoyable riding experience.
-
Exterior condition
The motorcycle retains its original paintwork in beautifully preserved, unrestored condition, finished in the somewhat rarer Turquoise Metallic color. Elsewhere, it remains impressively original and well cared for, with a nicely polished appearance throughout. The bright wire-spoke wheels are fitted with newer Continental tires, and the seat is clean, undamaged, and in excellent condition.
-
General condition
An intriguing motorcycle in equally fascinating, low-mileage original condition, albeit with a history unknown to its current owner. What is clear, however, is that one or more owners in the United States used it very sparingly—covering just 17,700 kilometres (approximately 11,000 miles) over a span of 57 years.

Facts about the model
Honda’s design introduced several technical innovations as standard equipment, fundamentally reshaping the motorcycle market overnight. A transverse-mounted 736cc inline four-cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft produced 67 horsepower and delivered a top speed in excess of 200 km/h—figures that were truly sensational at the time. The CB750 was also the world’s first mass-produced motorcycle equipped with a hydraulic front disc brake, providing stopping power to match its impressive performance.
Its four carburettors and four chromed exhaust silencers became defining visual trademarks, giving rise to the model’s famous “Four” designation. The CB750 represented a major technological leap forward, offering a combination of performance, comfort, and reliability that had previously been reserved for far more expensive and less accessible machines.
The model became a tremendous global sales success, particularly in the United States and Europe, and is widely regarded as one of the most important motorcycles ever built.
