Description
This VW Golf GTI Turbo was purchased new in April 1999 by the current owner and has remained within the same family ever since. During the first three years (1999–2002), it was driven by the owner himself before being handed over to his father. Under his father's care, the car was meticulously maintained and always kept in a garage when not in use. Regular servicing was carried out strictly according to manufacturer guidelines—always at an authorized dealership—with complete documentation to prove it.
When the father passed away in 2019, the car was inherited by his wife. She used it very sparingly, mainly for short local drives. In 2024, the son bought the car back after his mother's eyesight deteriorated, and he has now decided to pass it on to a new enthusiast.
This is a rare, well-preserved example of the classic Golf GTI Turbo—a model already gaining collector status. With single-family ownership from new, always garage-kept, a full service history, and a remarkably preserved original feel, this is a unique opportunity for the true enthusiast.

Facts about the model
The fourth-generation Golf GTI, introduced in 1997, marked a significant leap forward in both design and technology. With more modern lines, improved safety, and a higher-quality interior feel, it was seen as a major upgrade—though some enthusiasts felt it had lost a bit of the raw sportiness that defined earlier GTIs.
The most notable engine option was the introduction of the 1.8T turbocharged engine—a 1.8-liter petrol engine producing 150 hp (later versions reached up to 180 hp). This engine delivered strong torque, reasonable fuel economy, and excellent tuning potential, quickly becoming a favorite among enthusiasts.
While the GTI Turbo wasn't the lightest or most uncompromising GTI ever made, it offered a more refined and comfortable driving experience—without completely forgetting its roots.
