Description
The Cadillac was imported from California, USA in 2008. Since then, considerable care has gone into improving the car. A full binder of receipts documenting the work done is included. Notable highlights include: roof repaint and general touch-up in 2009, new fuel tank in 2014, new wheel bearings all around in 2015, rebuilt master brake cylinder in 2024, and rebuilt steering gear in 2015. A new exhaust system was installed in 2009, a new alternator in 2012, and the engine was painted in 2010 with cylinder heads refurbished in 2009.
New rubber seals for doors and trunk were also fitted—during which the doors and trunk lid were removed for proper paintwork in the door jambs and trunk interior.
New Cooker whitewall tires (235/75-15) were fitted in 2015. The windshield wipers were upgraded to electric operation in 2018. The speedometer was refurbished by Instrument JIGE AB in 2018. The car has had four owners in Sweden, with the current owner purchasing it in 2017. The exact mileage since new is unknown.
As the car is now used less frequently, the owner has decided to pass it on to the next Cadillac enthusiast. A spare wheel and a full binder of receipts are included.

Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Equipped with a 331 V8 rated at 229 hp, the engine starts easily and sounds just right. It runs quietly and smoothly on the road with no unusual noises. The 4-speed automatic transmission features the characteristic Hydra-Matic shift pattern, where the transition between 2nd and 3rd gear feels fairly firm and pronounced. Also equipped with power steering, an alternator, and a detachable tow hitch approved for up to 1,500 kg.
-
Interior condition
The entire interior is in excellent condition and was refurbished in Sweden in 2008. The front bench seat and window lifts are electrically operated. The speedometer was refurbished in 2018, displaying speed in km/h and distance in miles. The gear indicator markings do not perfectly align with the actual gear positions—replacement with a correct indicator is recommended.
A modern stereo system is discreetly installed in the glove compartment, delivering good sound through a subwoofer under the front seat and speakers in the rear shelf. The Autronic Eye is present but its functionality is uncertain. An additional oil pressure gauge is installed but not connected; the original oil pressure warning light works properly. -
Exterior condition
According to available information, most of the paint—except for the roof, which was resprayed in 2009—is the original cellulose finish. It retains a shine but is polished through to the primer in many areas, with some touch-ups done. A paint sealant has been applied to preserve the charmingly worn look. See photos.
The center section of the rear bumper has been re-chromed; otherwise, the chrome appears to be original and shows a patinated condition. Green-tinted windows all around, with a crack in the left rear side window—see photo. The body is straight with even panel gaps typical for the era. New Cooker whitewall tires (235/75-15) were installed in 2015. The visible parts of the underbody (as seen without a lift) appeared to be in very good condition—see photos. -
General condition
The car comes across as charming, authentic, and solid—perfect for cruising and classic car meets.
