Facts about the model

In Sweden, Göransson Motor AB in Gothenburg imported and assembled motorcycles that combined Diamant frames with DKW engines. One example is a 1938 model equipped with a 98cc two-stroke engine and a three-speed gearbox. These motorcycles were popular in Sweden due to their simplicity and reliability.

A typical Diamant with a DKW engine from this era featured the following specifications:

Engine: 98cc two-stroke

Transmission: 3-speed manual

Top speed: Approximately 70 km/h

Design: Simple and robust, suited to Swedish conditions.

Due to World War II, many of these motorcycles were registered only after the war ended. For example, a model manufactured in 1939 was not registered until 1946. Despite their age, some examples are still in operation today, which is a testament to their durability and quality.

Diamant motorcycles with DKW engines represent an important part of motorcycle history in Sweden and Europe. Their blend of German engineering and Swedish adaptation made them reliable vehicles during a time when simple and efficient transportation was much needed.
