Mechanical condition
The car runs excellently and has been regularly serviced by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable owner, with the service book included. The AC is not connected but likely just needs a refill. The electric soft top works well, but requires a little assistance when folding down, needing a slight push to align correctly for the top cover. The instrumentation is free of any pixel errors.
-
Interior condition
Nice interior with some signs of use, requiring only a light reconditioning. A useful wind deflector is included.
-
Exterior condition
The paint is in good condition with some door marks and signs of polishing. The soft top is watertight but has a few paint stains. The trim and bumpers are in good condition, and the tires are in great shape, mounted on the original wheels.
-
General condition
A wonderful summer car for the whole family to enjoy in the sunshine.

Facts about the model
Generation 1 of the new 9-3, which was produced from 1998 to 2003, was primarily a facelift of the earlier 900 model. The new design included updated bumpers, a new grille, and a revised rear end, partly following a similar concept to the larger 9-5 model. The chassis and crash safety were also updated. Body versions included the three- and five-door hatchbacks, as well as a popular Cabriolet. Additionally, from the 1999 model year, a high-performance special model, the Viggen, was introduced.
For the 2000 model year, the Aero version arrived, featuring a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 205 hp, along with some design and styling cues from the Viggen.
The 9-3 model was a relatively popular mid-range car, offering both practicality and enjoyable driving characteristics, along with the classic Saab feel.
