Audi S8 V8 4.2 quattro — 1998

• Mechanical condition

  During the test drive, the car performed well, showcasing the delightful sound of its V8 engine, abundant power, effective braking, smooth automatic transmission, and stable handling. All electric features, including windows, mirrors, seats, radio, and the roof, are operational, though the folding feature for one mirror does not work. The AC functions but likely needs a recharge. The instrument panel and dashboard are fully functional, albeit with a pixelated display on the radio. The alloy wheels are in good condition despite some minor scuffs, and the car comes with new tires as well as additional winter wheels equipped with new tires. There's a minor crack in the plastic engine covers.

• Interior condition

  The interior is clean and well-kept, showing age-related wear primarily on the driver's seat bolster, along with a few small holes on both the driver's and passenger's seats (refer to pictures). Apart from these issues, the interior is tidy, featuring well-maintained door cards, rear seats, carpets, and headliner. There's a stain on the rear boot carpet and a repair on the spare wheel lid (see pictures).

• Exterior condition

  The bodywork is straight, clean, and free from rust issues, thanks to its all-aluminum construction. The underbody is clean and undamaged, with only minor surface rust on some parts. The paintwork is presentable and bright, though the clear coat on the bonnet has lifted in places, and there are a few small blisters around the door pillars and edges (refer to pictures). The bumpers have been repainted and show some small blisters, suggesting the front bumper may have been replaced.

• General condition

  This young-timer remains a joy to drive, feeling tight and fun on the road, with lots of expensive work already completed, promising many enjoyable motoring years ahead. The cosmetic flaws can be addressed over time, starting with at least a repaint of the bonnet.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
