This wonderful old Renault TL16 was delivered new in Sweden in 1976 and has been owned by Bil Nilsson Renault/Volvo dealer for the past 38 years and displayed in their showroom. Since new, it has travelled 100357 kilometers and was restored 20 years ago with two new wings and repainted in its original color. The car was last inspected/MOT'd in 2018 and is driven approximately 5-10 kilometers per year to maintain it operational. It is best described as being in great collector condition.

Brown textile in good original condition with only minor blemishes, good door cards, headliner, and headrests. Clean and fresh dashboard with sun bleached carpets and a minor water stain on the rear parcel shelf.

Great paint, chrome, and glass work. Straight bodywork, repainted, and two front wings replaced about 20 years ago, surface rust corner inner wings top corner engine bay and a few small blisters on top drivers door "see photos"

Facts about the model
Renault 16 presenterades 1965 och blev årets bil detta år. Renault presenterade för världen tidernas första kombi-kupé, eller halvkombi, som man säger idag. Modellen blev populär för att den var flexibel och praktisk. Man kunde fälla sätena i alla tänkbara konfigurationer, och använda bilen både som en praktisk kombi och en snygg sedan, därav namnet halvkombi. Fler biltillverkare tog efter konceptet.
Den sålde bra i hela Europa, hela 1,845,959 R16:s byggdes under modellens livstid. Den fick mycket beröm för sin komfortabla inredning och höga utrustningsnivà med tanke pà priset. Fran en början sälde R16 bara med en 1.4 L bensinmotor vilket toppades senare av en 1.6 som hade en topphastighet av 160 km/h.
Den högsta utrustningsnivan hette TX och hade funktioner som elektriska fönsterhissar och centrallås vilket hittills var helt okänt för den Europeiska familjebilsmarknaden. När R16 upphörde med produktionen 1980, och blev ersatt av den mindre lyckade R20, var den fortfarande en av dom mest populära och mest sålda familjebilarna i Europa. Vid denna tid hade även dom festa andra europeiska biltillverkarna tagit iden med halvkombi och hade minst en sådan version i produktion.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
