Description
This Swedish-sold truck was first registered in 1941 and was very popular with the military during the 1940s. The museum acquired the truck in 2005 and drove it for 5 years before storing it in a barn, where it has remained ever since. It features an older renovation and a good interior, though it is now showing signs of paint blisters and surface rust on the chassis. The truck will be removed from the barn and made ready for loading upon sale. I would recommend that any interested bidders view the truck in person.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The truck has not been tested and will require a review and startup service. We will arrange for it to be removed from the barn and made ready for loading. Older tires and wheels and keys included.
-
Interior condition
The cab is tidy, featuring a nice vinyl bench seat, a newer front headliner, and original gauges and instruments. The door cards are in good condition but will need a proper cleaning
-
Exterior condition
It was difficult to properly photograph or document the truck as it has been parked in a tight barn. Please note that everything packed on the flatbed is not included with the truck. The bodywork appears generally in good condition with no major damages, though signs of blisters and surface rust have started to appear around the cab and underbody. The flatbed is complete, with the wooden sections in good condition but showing wear in some areas. The paintwork has a matte finish and very dusty.
-
General condition
This is a perfect truck for those with knowledge of classic trucks, particularly Volvo collectors. Trucks like this are not readily available for sale these days.
