Description
The car is owned by an elderly lady who was on vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when she decided to buy a new American car. She fell in love with a brand-new Lincoln Town Car. According to a registry check we conducted, the car had barely driven 20 km when purchased from the dealership in the USA. However, there were significant challenges and high costs, including customs duties, VAT, and other fees, to get the car approved for use in Sweden. Consequently, the car was first registered in the Swedish vehicle registry in 2001. According to the owner, the total cost, including the purchase price of the car, amounted to approximately 500,000 SEK.
The speedometer displays both mph and km/h, while the odometer shows miles. To meet Swedish traffic regulations, the mph scale on the speedometer has been covered (see image). This has occasionally caused issues during vehicle inspections, as there has been confusion over converting miles to kilometers. The car has driven 43,317 miles, which translates to approximately 69,711 kilometers. During the most recent inspection, a note was made stating that the odometer reading was lower than during the previous inspection, likely due to a misunderstanding between miles and kilometers. The owner has driven the car since new, so there is no doubt about the accuracy of the mileage. The car is approved for use until 2025-07-31.
The car does not come with winter tires, as they were never needed. It has only been driven during the summer months.
The instruction manual, spare wheel, and jack are included. Only one key is currently available, though the owner hopes to locate the second key.

Rear-wheel drive equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine, rated at 209 horsepower. Additionally, it has a 4-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning, and ABS. Also equipped with dual airbags. According to the owner, all technical aspects are functioning, with the caveat that the air conditioning has not been tested recently.

Interior condition
Stylish and neat interior without any damage. Extra style points for the gear lever on the steering column in these models. It's evident that the owner has taken good care of their car. Just as nice in the trunk. See the pictures. Car stereo with cassette player and CD changer.

Exterior condition
Very well-preserved exterior. Always garage-kept and never driven in winter. There are a few minor scratches and the usual stone chips. Equipped with a vinyl roof. On the rear roof pillars, there should be badges with the word "President." These are missing as they were stolen while parked at the hospital's visitor parking lot. See photos.

Youngtimer in untouched condition with low mileage. This one will have veteran status within a few years and works great as both an enthusiast car and a daily driver.

Facts about the model
The Lincoln Town Car was built as its own model series by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company starting in 1981. Before that, the Town Car name had been used as a trim level on the Lincoln Continental. The Town Car was built as its own model series over three generations from 1981 until manufacturing ceased in 2011. The Town Car was a large luxury car, and the third generation was built from 1998 to 2011.
