"This Volvo is a reliable and durable car designed to continue performing for many years to come."

Description

This Volvo has been owned by the same family since new, but has only been used by two family members. It is in good condition with low mileage of 89,969 km. The first owner was a Volvo enthusiast who custom-ordered the car from Volvo in Kinna. It was delivered in black with wine-red leather interior and Volvo's SE package. He did not use the car very often as he had access to a company car. The Volvo retains its original paint and received rust protection treatment from new. Due to various circumstances, the car changed hands within the family. The Volvo has always been stored in a garage when not in use. The current owner has replaced the clutch, alternator, and ignition cables. The brakes have been refurbished, and the car has received a new ABS sensor and a new front right wheel bearing. Since coming into the current owner's possession, the car has been used very rarely but has still been run regularly to keep it mechanically fit. At the time of photography, it was noted that the car's tires were worn, and it has since been equipped with a pair of used front tires. The car has also been inspected by the Swedish Vehicle Inspection (Svensk Bilprovning) on September 26, 2023, with no remarks, but it would benefit from four new tires.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The car runs well in terms of engine and transmission. The brakes are functioning as they should. The Volvo has been newly inspected and approved without remarks by the Swedish Vehicle Inspection (Svensk Bilprovning) on September 26, 2023. The car would benefit from four new tires.

  • Interior condition

The car features a nice wine-red/black matching interior with minimal signs of wear. The leather on the lower part of the driver's seat shows some wear. The headliner is in good condition with a few minor dirt stains. Plastic surfaces and floor mats are in good shape. The dashboard and door panels are also in good condition.

  • Exterior condition

The paint and body are in good usable condition, but there are some small door dings and scrapes. On the right side of the car, there are small rust bubbles at the upper edges of the door window frames. There is a minor dent on the front bumper, left side. The plastic trim pieces on the body have retained their black color better than what is typically seen on older cars.

  • General condition

According to many, the Volvo 940 is considered the last true Volvo. Here we have a well-maintained and roadworthy 940 in good condition.
