Condition
-
Mechanical condition
Not started, but the engine turns over. An inspection of the ignition wires and fuel system is likely needed.
-
Interior condition
Worn original interior with patinated and aged leather, but it still appears relatively complete. The wood is in surprisingly good condition, as are the steering wheel, controls, instruments, and other components. The headliner is worn, and the carpets are incomplete.
-
Exterior condition
Faded paintwork with rust damage. Chrome and glass are in good condition. Missing chrome trim and parts for the trunk opening mechanism. Rubber seals are in poor condition. The wheels, hubcaps, and beauty rings are in good shape. The tires are older. The engine and trunk compartments are worn.
-
General condition
A relatively complete car that, however, requires commitment and work. Once back on the road, you'll have a fantastic cruiser with classic British attributes from the refined world of the 1950s, along with a rich industrial and motor history.

Facts about the model
After World War II, Armstrong-Siddeley quickly returned to car production, launching new models as early as 1945. These cars were named after famous warplanes such as Hurricane, Lancaster, and Typhoon, and were based on pre-war designs. For the 1952 model year, a new model was introduced, a luxurious sedan called the Sapphire 346. The engines were straight-sixes with 3435 cc and 125 hp, aimed at competing in the segment just below Rolls-Royce and Bentley. There were four-door versions with either 4-light or 6-light (four or six side windows) designs. In 1954, dual carburetors were introduced, boosting power to 150 hp. For the 1955 model year, the MK2 upgrade was launched. The Sapphire 346 model was produced from 1952 to 1958, with a total of 7,967 units built.
