Description
The current owner saw this Golf in 2003, and even then it was deregistered. At that time, it had already rolled 217,000 kilometers, as confirmed by the odometer reading. Fast forward 14 years, and it ended up in his ownership. Since then, the owner has renovated, serviced, and used it sparingly, driving a few miles each summer up to today. It is equipped with, among other things, K-jetronic fuel injection, TA-Technix adjustable coilovers, Black Smoke Clear Headlight Cross Hair Light Lamp GTI LHD (original headlights are included), and Original Teardrop VW Volkswagen Wheel Rims, which are also included separately. Various parts, including the tow hook, are also included—see pictures. The Golf passed the latest inspection without any remarks and was praised for its good condition. The car appears to be painted in its original color but with some improvements. The odometer was read, and the numbers correspond to the car’s condition.

Interior condition
The interior shows wear consistent with 220,000 kilometers of use and is in good running condition overall. Some bubbles can be seen on the headliner fabric, see picture. Dry weatherstrips, primarily on the driver’s door.

Exterior condition
It appears to be the car’s original paint, but it may have an older repaint. Some stone chips, small dents, and paint touch-ups. Flaking rust protection on the underside of the car.

A tough GTI in usable condition. Not new, but the car holds its own.

Facts about the model
The Golf GTI began being delivered to customers during the summer of 1976. We all know it became an icon and garnered a multitude of followers from other brands with GTI ambitions. So, in 1984, it was time for Volkswagen’s own successor, Generation II. It was also well received, and in Teknikens Värld (a Swedish automotive magazine), they tested eight GTI cars in 1986, with the VW GTI emerging as the best in its class! Generation II was produced until 1992. There were several different variants, ranging from a toned-down GT to the even sportier GTI 16V and the half-racer G60.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
