Description
The Volvo PV was the brand's first people's car; the 444 model was introduced during WWII in 1944, but production did not begin until 1947. In 1958, a significantly updated version, the PV 544, was released, with many technical ideas shared with the newer Amazon model. As a result, the PV 544 is regarded as the ultimate classic, combining older charm with long-lasting newer technology.
Volvo began to compete successfully in rally and racing with the Volvo PV.
The 1960s' most popular youth and rally car. Volvo PV achieved great success in rally competitions and championships with drivers such as Tom Trana, Carl-Magnus Skogh, and Gunnar Andersson. Volvo decided to create a Sport version in response to the success of the audience and competition.
PV 544 from the final G series was only manufactured from August to October 1965. B18D engine output is higher: 95 hp. The final carriag rolled off the line on October 20. The PV 544G was produced in a total of 3,400 copies.

Condition
-
Mechanical condition
It had been about ten years since it had been run. The engine compartment is generally nice and untouched with patina, and the radiator appears to be in good condition.
-
Interior condition
Original upholstery, door panels, and carpets in fine shape. Painted parts are still very nice. However, there is a small tear in the fresh headliner. The original radio is gone, and it has had double interior mirrors fitted at some point.
Rubber mat on the floor is original and largely undamaged, but has become dry and brittle over time. -
Exterior condition
Driving on northern roads in the 1960s meant a lot of dirty roads. Here are some stone chips, scratches and marks in the paint, also minor parking dents and paint touch ups.
What was missing from those roads was salt. Except for minor cosmetic rust, the body is completely rust-free. Fine in wing edges, sills, and floors
The boot space is used, with the original mat and everything intact but with some wear. The bodywork is fine and intact throughout the boot. -
General condition
Almost like a time capsule - a nice starting point for renovation or carefully keeping it in its existing condition.
