Description
The current owner, a knowledgeable car enthusiast, purchased the car in 2019 for its solid condition and the care it had received over the years. Just before his purchase, the previous owner replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, alternator belt, power steering belt, and seals. Since then, the car has been used only as a summer vehicle. The only reason for sale is a lack of garage space and time — as the owner says, “it’s hard to find a nicer one.”
The car has been well maintained, with a clean interior and bodywork. Recent work includes new front brakes, a new battery, an oil and filter change, new air filter and a new fuel filter. It has just passed inspection, valid until 2027-09-30. The mileage matches older inspection records, confirming that it has been regularly driven rather than stored away. The car also comes with extensive documentation and is fully ready for the next owner to drive and enjoy immediately.
Fitted with an Alpina decal kit, Alpina front lower spoiler, boot-lid spoiler, and a sportier Alpina-style steering wheel (the original wheel is also included if preferred). It rides on a nice set of multi-spoke alloy wheels with good tires (no standard wheels included). The current owner bought the car as it appears today, with the decals and spoilers. This is a solid, reliable, and well-kept E28 — an attractive, ready-to-drive youngtimer that is also road-tax exempt in Sweden.

Mechanical condition
The car starts instantly, and the engine runs smoothly with a pleasant tone. The engine bay is exceptionally clean and tidy. On the road, it performs very well — the gearbox shifts smoothly, the brakes feel solid, and the handling is sharp and responsive. There are no warning lights on the dashboard, and the electric mirrors work as they should. The only note is a slight exhaust leak in the middle section. The car has been newly serviced and inspected, with the inspection valid until 2027-09-30.

Interior condition
Interior is super clean and tidy, with no damage to the seats, door cards, carpets, or headliner. The dashboard is also in excellent condition, with all gauges functioning properly. An aftermarket radio with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity is fitted, and the original steering wheel is included with the car.

Exterior condition
The bodywork is generally straight with no rust issues. The only noted imperfections are a small dent high up on the right-hand door and a few minor paint blisters and touch-ups around the left rear corner of the windshield (see photos). The underside is clean and tidy, with an older repair visible on the front section of the passenger-side sill and only very light surface rust in that area – otherwise, the car is very solid.
The paintwork has a nice glossy finish with no major defects, though the driver’s door appears to have been repainted at some point. The chrome trim all around is in good condition, with only minor oxidation on the rear bumper sides and around the windscreen frame. -
General condition
The car presents itself very well in all areas and has been carefully maintained throughout its life. Now 40 years old and showing only 164,000 km, it is an ideal car for any enthusiast.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
