This car has for some time been owned by a true AMC enthusiast. This man purchased the car in September 2024. Sadly, he passed away a while ago, and the car was then purchased by a friend who is the current owner today. A very well-known figure in racing circles with a long and successful career. The car was registered in Sweden on 260526, but it originates from the USA and California. The car has been repainted with very good results. The mechanicals are in good working order, and it has a fine matching interior. A wealth of documentation from the USA accompanies the car.

Everything in good working order as previously described. As with most cars, there are minor details that could possibly be improved. These are neither time-consuming nor costly. The engine bay is dry and clean. Painted engine block along with blasted and painted exhaust manifolds. What else has been done to the engine is unclear, but given that the engine was removed, it may be suspected that parts of the engine have been reconditioned.

Interior condition
There is not much to object to here, but a small part of the headliner at the rear has come loose and sags slightly. There are minor cracks and scuff marks on the wood trim on the dashboard.

Exterior condition
Exterior in good condition. Fine and glossy paintwork with good chrome and trim. Light units OK, as well as other glass details. Fine tires mounted on original wheels. The date of the tires is not traceable.

A very sleek Javelin in a bold color that harmonizes with the interior. Ready for the road when the spring sun comes out again.

Facts about the model
The 1970 AMC Javelin marked the final model year of the first generation (1968–1970). Designed by Dick Teague, the model underwent a major update, featuring a new grille, revised body styling and improved engineering to better compete with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. The engine range included several powerful V8 options with displacements of 304, 360 and 390 cubic inches.
The interior was updated with a new dashboard and high-back front seats with integrated headrests. The year was also significant for AMC's involvement in the Trans-Am racing series, where Roger Penske and Mark Donohue played key roles. Approximately 28,000 AMC Javelins were produced in 1970 before the second generation was introduced in 1971.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
