Condition
-
Mechanical condition
It is difficult to comment on the mechanical condition and functionality. The engine turns over sluggishly. As for all other functions, we will leave that unsaid.
-
Interior condition
Worn seats, so reupholstering or a replacement interior should be considered. This also applies to the carpets and likely the headliner as well.
-
Exterior condition
Refer to the photos. Surface rust is present here and there, and there is a dent on the right rear. Otherwise the body is straight and fine. Charming as always with the characteristic rear-hinged doors. Glass is OK, as is the chrome trim, although here too with a fair amount of surface rust. New tires are, of course, a given. The car rolls, so the brakes are not seized, which makes collecting this car easier.
-
General condition
Charming find well worth restoring

Facts about the model
The Saab 92B, introduced in 1955, is an important part of Saab's automotive history and represents the company's early efforts to establish itself in the car market. Here is an overview of the history of the Saab 92B:
The Saab 92B was a further development of the original Saab 92, which was launched in 1949. The first model had a distinctive design and was one of the first cars produced by Saab, which had previously been known for its aircraft.
The 92B had a unique and aerodynamic design with a rounded body and a prominent front. The car was also equipped with a front-wheel-drive layout and a small engine mounted at the front.
The 92B was equipped with a 748 cc two-cylinder engine producing approximately 32 horsepower. This gave the car a top speed of around 100 km/h. Despite the limited engine output, the car was known for its stability and fine handling characteristics.
The car was produced between 1955 and 1960, and approximately 18,000 units were built during this period. The car was sold primarily in Sweden, but it also reached international markets.

In summary, the Saab 92B is a significant model that played an important role in the company's early successes and the development of its car production.
