Condition
-
Mechanical condition
This car has recently received refurbished brakes, a new fuel pump, ignition components, a new rear muffler, and a general service.
It starts easily, the engine runs smoothly, and it performs beautifully on the road — just as tight and pleasant as a low-mileage car should feel. Slightly sensitive to choke when cold, and a faint exhaust noise can be heard. -
Interior condition
Fitted with new, custom-tailored seat covers — underneath, the original upholstery is in near-pristine condition. The same level of preservation is evident throughout the rest of the cabin, which can be described as impeccable with minimal wear. The headliner has come slightly loose near the sun visors and rearview mirror. Some scratches are visible on the luggage compartment panels, but the carpet and overall rear area are in excellent condition, with the original spare wheel still in place.
-
Exterior condition
The paintwork is in very good condition, with only a few minor stone chips accumulated over the years — nothing significant. Very slight wear on the bumpers. The wheels, sourced from a Saab 900, are in excellent condition and fitted with quality tires.
-
General condition
This represents the final evolution of the Saab 99 — a combination of proven engineering and modern updates. Altogether, it makes a late 99 both practical, reliable, and appealing on several levels. This particular example stands out as one of the finest, most original survivors of its era.
