Owner's comment
Swedish-sold 205 GTI with power steering and ABS. Original limited edition Sorrento Green edition, meaning it is not a K.W Bruun edition with aftermarket details. At 105,000 km, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration, including both mechanical and aesthetic refreshment. The front suspension was completely renovated, and a new clutch, timing belt including water pump and rollers were installed. The ignition system was renewed with a new rotor/cap, spark plugs, and ignition wires. Fresh oil was added to both the engine and gearbox, and all filters were replaced. All electrical issues were addressed.
New pumps were installed for the headlight washers/windshield wipers, along with a new battery. New optics were fitted, including indicators, headlights (Valeo), and fog lights. The brakes were thoroughly checked, and all necessary brake lines were replaced, along with a new brake fluid change after the work was completed. After the mechanical overhaul, the focus shifted to eliminating minor rust and a complete repainting of the car, including a “windows out” procedure with the doors and trunk lid removed. The underbody was treated at the same time.
The car’s Speedline 299 wheels were refurbished and fitted with new tires. The original seats were sent to an upholsterer to repair any loose seams, and the interior leather was revitalized. This year, a new oil pan gasket and fresh engine oil were added. The plastic components of the instrument panel were replaced with parts free from cracks or defects. The rear parcel shelf is intact with no speaker holes.
The car’s original registration number was AAM637. There is a complete binder with receipts and documents detailing the car’s history. I took over the car during the restoration process in Poland. It recently passed a registration inspection in Karlstad with positive feedback from the staff at the station.

Den fanns till en början att få med 1,6 liters radfyra på 105 hk och senare med en 1,9 version av den motorn som gav 122 hk (130 hk utan katalysator som det inte var krav på i vissa länder, denna motorkonfiguration hade även något högre kompressionsförhållande och annan motorstyrning). I Sverige var GTIn en storsäljare; 35 procent av alla 205or som såldes från 1984 till och med 1986 var just av GTI-modellen.[1] Från och med -89 så helgalvades karossen vilket ger ett gott rostskydd. Skivbromsar blev även standard bak.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
